ABOUT

My practice is rooted in a lifelong fascination with colour and dreams. I create paintings that explore the unseen realms of the mind, translating dream impressions and narratives into visual experiences.

I am interested in moments of awareness, curiosity and personal growth, and in the subtle rhythms that shape our inner and outer lives. Through colour, symbolism and visual metaphor, my work invites reflection, presence and connection.

 

Born in Mexico, I initially pursued my passion for science, earning an MSc and PhD in Computer Science before following my artistic calling with an MFA in Fine Art. My technical background continues to influence the way I approach painting. Working with algorithms to solve complex problems taught me to think through systems, patterns and relationships, an approach that now informs my visual language, where precision and intuition meet.

 

My work has been exhibited at venues including Cornerstone Arts Centre, the Mexican Embassy, the Old Fire Station and West Oxford Art Gallery. I have also participated in four consecutive Artweeks, alongside exhibitions at other galleries and art events
